    It's needed if, for example, one wants to quote some right-to-left language in a piece of text which is otherwise in a language written left-to-right.
    I wish I had kept the original spam now : I guess there was some reason they put this in the email.

    I do remember it was quite an eye catching email design : it certainly made one pay attention.
