hey I've already said and I apologise, the examples may have been wrong. I'm not whinging about Scotland and Wales, I'm whinging about the fact that ordinary tax payers in london and the south east have been fleeced to subsidise the regions and they have been fleeced by the bankers.

The ordinary tax payer in London pays just the same tax as the ordinary tax payer in Scotland.

I thought Londoners paid a lot less for their council tax. Seem to remember Wandsworth having a very cheap council tax?

                edit:

                Council Tax in Wandsworth
The Council Tax for 2008/2009 is £681 for an average Band D property. This remains the lowest in the country.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

**if** the city moves away from the UK then the UK will go down the tubes quicker than it already is.

Maybe the bright young things will join other industries. More likely they will move abroad.

We should just have fiscal and political independence for Scotland & Wales.

Charge for the Armed Forces & anything else UK wide until they are ready for full independence.

Have separate sittings for UK & England only issues in the House of Commons.
