        It would be far better to spend the money on new energy technologies like Fusion, so that we don't need to rely on oil any more.

          Stand back a bit and look at the West's energy policies, you'd have to say that with some exceptions these are the actions of people who are happy with the current geopolitical situation. I'm not.
