Does QE mean they will simply continue to generate more currency on an ongoing basis? Or is it more likely it will run in sudden injections of cash; e.g a set amount may be released (and the amount made public)?

You'll have to raise your limit every day to avoid maxing out or defaulting. I believe the governor of the Bank of Zimbabwe can supply you with a list of big numbers you can use when asking for higher spending limits.
