It needs to be legislated and enforced. There is no scientific substance whatsoever to the anti-MMR brigades warmarch on triple vaccines and autism links.

It can be done on the grounds of endangering other children by failure to vaccinate!!!

Indeed, all 3 of my children were born around the time of the MMR scare, I looked at the science which I considered flaky, asked my mother (retired medic) what the consequences of the various diseases were and had my children immunised. The decision was incredibly easy.

After careful consideration I believe that immunisation is the single greatest ever advance in medicine.

My mother-in-law is staunchly against it, and considering that she is university-educated it always scares me how she will jump on a medical bandwagon by taking what other people write at face value (she's into alternative therapy, which whilst I think have their place at times still need to be backed up by science).

When I told her our son would definitely be having it there was quite an animated discussion

I love Ben Goldacre's column, one of my favourite reads on my RSS feed.

Complain on LBC's website. It's quite good fun as they respond quite quickly.

A university "education" is no such thing if it doesn't equip you to think logically.
Better not to to waste the 3-4 years.

Women are more socially conforming than men, all you need to get women to adopt a particular position is to apply social pressure.
