        Reminds me of the time one of my colleagues was installing a new 10MB hard disk into a unix system. It was back in the eighties and it was the size of a dustbin lid.

        He said "In my lifetime we will never fill that disk". Six months later he was fitting a second.

          The floppy disk is NOT dead, I needed one to put on some RAID disk drivers so that my Windows XP recovery CD could actually 'see' my RAID C:\ partition.

          I got so spooked by being forced to use a floppy disk I even bought a Sony USB floppy disk drive just in case !
