Here is a stress management technique recommended in all the latest psychological tests.

The funny thing is that it works.

    1. Picture yourself near a stream in the mountains.

    2. Birds are softly chirping in the cool mountain air.

    3. No one knows your secret place.

    4. You are in total seclusion from the hectic place called the world.

    5. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.

    6. The water is crystal clear.

    7. You can easily make out the face of the person you are holding under the water.

    See, you're smiling already.
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

thanks for the chin up messages...

I still dont know the results yet.

This was my first interview after 8 months...so was bit rustic
Lessons learnt..Hopefully would do better from now on and get off the bench soon
I screwed up with L & G. Hadn't used the product in over a year. However, I got shortlisted. However, got offered a role with Fujitsu and ended up taking it. Couldn't be asked to wait for the L & G to come back with a decision (waited 5 days before giving up, even though I chased pretty much daily). You never know... you might get shortlisted. If I can screw up and get shortlisted... so can you.

          What, like this?

It may not be as bad as you think. Anyway, no point fretting about it - onwards and upwards!

Well done! You followed up the ad, and your CV was good. You got shortlisted. Great!

You attended and went through with the interview. That means you got the chance to practice your interview technique ready for the Important One that you will really, really want.

You now need to give yourself a reward for getting an interview: go out for a meal / see if you like pink champagne & strawberries for breakfast / go to the flicks / whatever. But give yourself a reward.

And don't forget to put the cost of the journey through your books.

(If your face had fitted, if you had 'clicked', they would have helped you through the interview and you would be starting Monday. This was not the right gig for you.)

I must dig out my counsellor's details and send that to her. She will be so appalled...
