It's a little known fact that New Zealand is the first country (of any decent size anyway) to see the sun every day - hence while you guys are grovelling around on a cold Thursday afternoon I'm already tucked up in bed on a Summery Friday morning.

But I digress. Our most easterly city is Gisborne, which was the first city to see the new millenium.
Hence GMT is now actually Gisborne Millenium Time.Comment
