Don't miss the fact that the refinery (Lindsey Oil Refinery) is owned and operated by Total. A FRENCH company. Do you think they give a stuff about the local contractors? I've a feeling that if Total did the same thing in France, the result would be the same only much more militant, probably violent, action by the local French workers. I think the guys local to Lindsey Oil Refinery are right to do what they're doing.

God forbid, there is a French company operating in Britain.

          Close it down....!

You are still free to abandon the EU and sink with your currency alongside with Iceland (again, I know people on top are not as limited as you to make such an idiotic choice).
The inference of the law is for you or me to go as a private individual and get a job in another EU country. Not for mega-corps to simply ignore an entire economy and ship in the latest form of slave, in a situation where we have nearly 3m unemployed its immoral to ship in offshore resource. These offshore workers are little more than slave labour, being used to show the indigenous population what happens when they step out of line. They haven't used them for their superior skills more their lack of commercial sense. They will be shiped in stuck in a squalid B&B paid a fraction of the money the UK workers were taking and then sent off home when done. They won't be able to afford to go out to eat or drink or give any money to the local economy at a time when we need it. When we employ a UK bod to do a UK job he pays tax and spends the money here so the government can expect to see cyclical returns of anywhere up to 80% when vat and excise on petrol and booze is taken into account. How much money will we see from a chap that takes that money home to another county???

The EU is a joke every other country in it takes the piss out of the laws except the UK
I have lost count of the number times the French or Germans have ignored rulings against them and every year we watch the spainish fleets turn up and accidentally catch fish that they know they have reached their quotes on only to sod off home and land them anyway.

The people at the top of this ... "don't get me started ...."

There are plenty of Brits working all over Europe. The idea that Italians are all put up in the same B&B paid crap, is complete and utter tosh. The Italians are paid well.

It’s true if you read the Daily Wail. Really.

These people, coming over here taking our jobs, living off our taxes and clogging up our health service; it should be banned! They should bring back national service; that’ll restore some pride in this country! In my day we used to call Italians ‘slimey eyeties’ and we were right you know, those eyeties come slithering in and steal our jobs from under our noses!

And Italian companies don't discriminate in favour of Italians? Really? Really?? Could you really sit there and claim that?

Some do, some don’t. Same everywhere.

What I certainly don’t like to see is unions protesting against foreign workers. It looks to me like the odious combination of nationalism and socialism.
