It gets worse, apparently the goverment is starting a witchhunt finding unoffical adoptions by friends, relatives and grandparents.

I'm sure that the Catholic adoption agency could find you somewhere with a nice, safe priest to live with.Originally posted by minestrone View PostThere is specific reason why they cannot have children and until they understand what hole the mole goes in to make babies they should not be given children and certainly not before family members who have raised the children from birth.
If I was one of those children farmed out to an Alan Carr type and his gimp or a couple of shaven headed dungaree wearing carpet licking vegans I would be hiring a legal council as soon as I was of age for compensation for the pain inflicted by state sponsored child abuse.Comment

He won't think it's wrong, not after he has been brought up by his new "family".Originally posted by minestrone View PostThere is specific reason why they cannot have children and until they understand what hole the mole goes in to make babies they should not be given children and certainly not before family members who have raised the children from birth.

Yes, because the Daily Mail is well known for producing well balanced, politically independant quality journalism, and not for pandering to the emotions of the bigoted and ill informed masses.
Social Services will try everything before removing a child from a family, even if this is using extended family, such as Grandparents, as confirmed by various friends and family of mine who work in socail services. Granted this can result in children suffering more in certain circumstances, but it's a judgement call and they can't get it right everytime.Comment

You don't need to worry. The child welfare agency will always try and relocate the children with the closest member of family possible. It takes an extreme case for the children to be completely removed from all family members i.e. Saftey of children.Originally posted by jmo21 View Post
if god forbid something happened to me and the missus, and my folks (or my missus folks) were not allowed to adopt, and were then told you'll only see the kiddie twice a year, it would probably finish my old mum off
The daily muck has not given all the facts in this case. - Unfortunately we won't ever know the facts, as the current courts are held in secret.Originally posted by cailin maithHang on - there is actually a place called Cheddar??

Adoption has got nothing to do with the capability of having children. It is about providing the children with a loving and stable family. If a same sex couple can provide that, then why not?Originally posted by minestrone View PostThere is specific reason why they cannot have children and until they understand what hole the mole goes in to make babies they should not be given children
They don't you idiotOriginally posted by minestrone View Postand certainly not before family members who have raised the children from birth.
The agencies try everything they possibly can to keep the child with the parents, and failing that with the closest family possible.

I would think that the majority of the UK population believe that they have got this wrong. It is more about achieving quotas for reasons of political correctness and nothing to do with child welfare.
This decision is on a par with the incompetence of Haringey council and the series of child deaths IMO.

How long before we find out that granddad is a convicted peado?Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment
