If enough investors have them shorted yes.

I agree it looks undervalued to me too, but I'm not confident enough to take a punt at them myself yet. I tend to be too cautious and miss out on these sort of things though.

Banking shares with a failed bailout and a 2nd failed bailout underway.
But Barclays don't need a bailout, they didn't ask for one. They. Are. Profitable.

And yes, they will have to write down assets, which is why I waited until they were at a P/E of about 2.5 before I bought.
      Bored.

Who knows, worth a punt at 70p a share
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Oh - my mistake, there is a reason"
"Barclays Plc, the U.K. bank that turned down government funding last year, fell as much as 20 percent after London-based analysts led James Eden and Ian Gordon at Exane said in a note today that both banks face a 25 percent risk of being majority owned by the British government. "

25% OK - like to see the formula that gave Jimbo & Ian that result. Of course, let's wipe out a 300 year old bank because Jim & Ian ran their magic formula and got "25%".
I wish I were in London as I would go down to Threadneedle street and...........actually on 2nd thoughts maybe good that I'm a long way from there.
