        HSBC is only down 5% or so. That's just a daily fluctuation these days isn't it?

        Did anyone here take the plunge and short banking shares?

                  No - but I did buy Barclay's shares a couple of weeks ago.
                  Back in 1999/2000 I bought Worldcom & Global Crossing.
