Precisely. Surely if you enjoy life and have enough to get by today while putting something aside for later, you’re as rich as you need to be? How many flat screen TVs, slightly newer with even more horsepower cars, Rolexes and Wiii-thingummyjigs does it take to make a miserable person happy?

I tried that once, and my closest family tried telling me which houses and cars to buy and what investments to make. In other words, they were trying to spend it for me.

      Never again.

If I had millions in cash, then there are more good things that I could do than I can at the moment.

More about what I could do to help others enjoy life rather than what I could do for myself.

i'd probably upgrade the to a better house (vineyard, olive groves, organic farm, somewhere warm - plan b)

          buy a nicer car

          and give the rest away

                  1. Do a job I actually enjoyed as opposed to one that paid well.
                  2. Knock on effects of 1 above are increased holidays, family time, less stress, improved education, quality of life for kids etc etc.
                  3. I would change the amount of time I spend doing things that contribute to society i.e. I would do charity work, help underpriviledged kids etc etc.
                  4. I wouldn't buy a flash car but I would certainly go for a bigger/better house.

Apart from a bigger house and a flasher car, I can't think what would be better.
I would get my teeth repaired. Would get a Tummy Tuck of some sort. I would put a lot of money into investments and probably look at getting married with a legally enforceable pre-nup. I wouldn't retire (well.. never say never). I would probably push up my pension a bit. If I have enough money left over, I may consider doing some VC stuff (Dragon Den's style).
If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.

I would continue to post crap on here whilst periodically 'shouting' Lodsamoneeeeeeeey in my posts in an 80's Harry Enfield style.
