Porn baron Larry Flynt is seeking a $5 billion bailout from Washington to rejuvenate the industry, which he says is suffering because of the economic downturn.

I see stiff opposition to raising such huge amounts of hard currency in this downturn. Hopefully they'll swallow it without too much moaning and groaning.
And there I thought they had penetrated the market already. I guess their product is prone to the up and down movements shown by other companies in the market. Some come and some go.

Sounds like the industry is well and truly fooked.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

It's all down to accountancy problems. They need a proper double-entry system. A good head at the top and perhaps diversification into an alternative music publication, such as a jazz mag.
