Rover 75 had a BMW 5 series engine, does not compute

Why do you think there are more BMW's on our roads that Fords? Because they are the best drivers cars bar none. Nothing comes close in terms of handling, ride quality, steering, and comfort.

What other car can sit up the arse of the car in front at 155 MPH all day long and you can hear a flea fart it's that quiet.

The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Which BMW engine was it? Can't be the V6 as BMW don't make V engines?

It's not about whether the Rover 75 is better or worse than the BMW 5; it's about people's perception that one's good and the other's crap. It's extremely difficult to change that perception. People still think italian cars are rustbuckets. I've owned 5 of them, and never found one spot of rust. But still, people think that way.

Anyway, even if the Rover 75 was good, it's styling made me puke.

Well, that just goes to prove how important the whole package, not the size of the package, is.

I've owned 2 Lancias. Both dissolved into iron oxide within 2 yrs. We're talking spotless to holes big enough to fall out of in 2 years.

              Never again!

They make V8s and V12s foor the 6 and 7 series, I think, but they don't make v6 as far as I know.

Mrs Tester now owns our 3rd Lancia. Never had problems with them, but I'm talking about recent models 1998 onwards which aren't available in the UK.

Yes, choosing the finest car does show a lack of imagination.

Instead of choosing the most confortable, safe and luxurious airline, I'm going to try the one with the worst safety record next time.
