Off Field question - if someone dies

Be there for your friend, the next few months are going to be really tough.

Our daughter (nearly 4) passed away 12weeks ago very unexpectedly (in her sleep).

Well she died last night after being taken into hospital, less than 24 hours after I was unable to help her get up the night before.

Survived by a husband and a 2 1/2 year old daughter. The father is just about to collect from nursery and tell her that her mummy has died.

Shocking. Nothing really prepares for that

Man that sucks. Hopefully having a daughter will help him through it... it can go either way in such cases I understand. I don't know enough about kids to have any idea how much a 2 1/2 year-old will remember and be affected?

Quicky question, if someone dies in your house overnight (they've come home as they are dying of serious illness) who do you call when they eventually pass away??

Doctor, Police, Ambulance? I'm helping out and waiting the call, but who do I need to speak to first when it happens?

I think he was just being there. His mate was probably strssed to feck looking after his wife and kid, MF helping out was probably a godsend for them.

craig_m67 & MF. Sorry to hear of your losses. The petty troubles of the day pail into insignificance when you are reminded of sad losses such as these. Always sadder to hear of the death of a child or a young child losing a parent. Heartfelt condolences to you all.

Our daughter (nearly 4) passed away 12weeks ago very unexpectedly (in her sleep). We called 999 as a reflex action. The coronial inquest was last Monday – natural causes, terminal seizure (she had quadriplegic cerebral palsy).
