Thankfully all was well, but, humanity dictates we need to do the right thing. Probably not the smartest decision I made to be honest, but, you do what you think is right.

From what the lass said, a van undertook, cut her up, and she was braking to avoid hitting the van. Her car was old (V reg Corsa) hence did not have ABS and she wiped out.
I think its very dangerous to stop in outside lane - no matter how slow traffic is.

Definetly a job for the babylon.....

Good point, it certainly wasn't wreckless driving.

If she got undertaken by a van then she must have been travelling in an inappropriate lane. I hope you pointed that out to her.

I believe undertaking is legal where the traffic is queuing anyway.

Although I think the driver should try to wreck less cars in future.

But if it were queuing, she would have been travelling so fast.

It could also be that the van in question simply pulled into her braking gap, causing her to slam on the brakes and lose control of her car. You don't know if she was hogging the lane or being undertaken - she might have been travelling along only to have a van pull out on her because the car/van/lorry in front of the van was going 1mph too slow.

That is the impression I get - seems like she was in lane 2 doing the 60 mark, trucks doing 50 in lane 1. Not sure if the van driver was aware of what he caused - looks like he got away with it though as the police on the phone did not mention any other calls

And she didn't notice someone overtaking her up the inside and get prepared to brake if they did something silly? Lack of care and attention yet again. The reality is you'd actually rear end anyone who really did it too quick.

It is fairly simple, she can't drive and shouldn't be on the roads.

You lot seem so desperate for a bit of female attention you'd let her chop your arms off to get it.

Why would they? She's 100% responsible.

Truth be known she was probably putting her make-up on and then noticed the traffic had slowed, then after the accident made up some story to cover her stupidity.

She wasn't crying because of what someone said, but because she stuck herself with the mascara stick.
