Nope, it wasn't. He was arrested on suspicion of "conspiring to commit misconduct in a public office" and "aiding and abetting, counselling or procuring misconduct in a public office"

Total bulltulip laws, designed (like so many by ZanuLab) to make criminals out of everybody and failing to address real issues.

He has not been charged, he was arrested for "aiding and abetting misconduct in public offence" according to the Telegraph. AFAIK he heasnt been charged, but his arresst by counter-terrorism (Noveau STASI) officials would indicate that if charged it will be terror related

I predict he will be released without charge, and the govt , especially Jaqui Smith will have major egg on their face.

It really just confirms how monstrously stupid she is.

When chavs decide to pick and choose which laws they'll break and which they'll use in their defence, most people seem to find that unacceptable.

When a Tory MP shows the same contempt for the law, many of the same people bitch and whine about his being called on it.

Either you accept that the law applies to all, or you don't. If you don't, the law becomes meaningless.

Totally agree - fair takes you back to the old Clive Ponting days. Governments shouldn't try to pull this sort of tulip - it always backfires.
