...but Bob and Purple say don't ban them, because they are not illegal.

Just a racist, violent, murdering political party.

And yet (wiki, so not super reliable) : "In 1998, Copeland left the BNP because of his outrage that they preferred democracy to violence and their new "euro-nationalistic" approach."

He was fringe stuff. Not acting on their behalf, etc. If Harold Shipman had been a member of The Guardian's Wine Club, would that mean all members were loony types with a granny killing complex?

How many police officers on that list? I think a few or so, maybe whoever leaked should have only leaked those names - then it would be in public interest, however they leaked everything which is totally wrong. They should certainly go to jail for it.

          More BNP Bombers....

Former BNP candidate, Robert Cottage, and 62 year old dentist David Jackson have been charged with possessing explosives.

Robert Cottage, a BNP candidate in Colne last year, and David Jackson, a dentist from Nelson, Lancashire have been charged with possessing explosives at Preston Crown Court today.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Being a police officer is a profession that has certain requirements attached. If you affiliate yourself with a group that has beliefs or aims against the stated aims of your profession then you have to choose a new profession affiliation.

I don't expect to work for Shell if I'm a GreenPeace activist, why should this be any different?
That's because you have a small brain. Change from within, and all that.

What do you expect the 'party' to say? Of course they have tried to come across as more moderate.

I agree the individual should be prosecuted, you may also find that the BNP have some responsibilities under the DPA to better protect their data.

If you look at this case without emotion then there are huge security issues. (Replace BNP with "Beano subscription" for example)

If you look at this case with emotion then morals tend to cloud things a little.
                    B00med!

Oy, don't put words in my mouth. Personally I think all political parties should be banned as they are bad for democracy.
