My ex-Halfords child's bicycle is good fun to ride - the combination of my 6'2" frame and its small frame means my centre of gravity is over the front handle bars when braking or going down-hill. This is great for an adrenaline rush when you need to brake, but I am also interested in getting a bicycle that is more adult sized that has thinner tyres and possibly has drop handle bars so that I can go really fast in safety. I don't want to pay more than about £50 or so though, so it must be a second-hand bike and not any old rubbish. What make of bike should I look out for in the local rag?

Watch for those pesky auction snipers though. It's so unfair that they can bid just before the auction endsOriginally posted by Spacecadet View Postsingle speed bikes are coming back in to fashion in the cycling world

You'd think they would steal the new ones!Originally posted by swamp View PostMost stolen bikes are second hand. The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment
