Space works on both sides on mine. I think you do have to be a bit more deliberate with the space bar though, something I found on my old MS natural keyboards too. TBH I can type faster and easier on the standard Dell keyboard that came with the PC, but then the point is to avoid RSI not typing speed.

I did find with these that they felt a bit sticky when new, but improved with use. I can be reasonably sure that's not just my imagination as I recently took my year old one to leave at Client Co., and bought a new one for home. Switching from one to the other they definitely felt different initially, but after a couple of weeks they feel about the same. In fact, just trying the number pad (which I rarely use) and the keys there feel different to the main keys, on the three week old keyboard.

But each to their own. You may have to adapt to survive.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Sometimes the one we have just stops working. Needs to be unplugged and replugged to work again (USB). Also, the keyboard does not function at all until Windows has booted, so if I want to enter the bios on the PC I need to swap keyboards to a standard PS2 type then swap back to the MS one again afterwards. What a ball ache that is. I'm guessing it's because the MS keyboard uses special MS rather than generic device drivers, hence it don't work till the OS has booted. Thanks Mr Gates.

That doesn't sound right - don't have that problem with mine

Might be a BIOS problem - got another USB keyboard you can try?
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

Erm, that's because your BIOS doesn't support USB keyboards. I'm sure mine does. Not everything is Microsoft's fault you know.

I just don't undestand how people can responsibly change such things like ENTER key size, or Function key sizes and release new product without having another version that will keep old style that has been in use for a long time.

I'll take it back to PC world again - I try to slightly press side of my big space bar on old natural keyboard and it goes down (the whole space) easily - good no problem, on new one pressing side does not make whole space bar go down - clearly a design/quality issue, never mind even the force you need to press it in the middle to get freaking space! I mean FFS, if that was very rarely pressed key then maybe one could adjust, but you have to get SPACE bar right

Crappy USB design is partly theirs (Intel too)!

Found natural keyboard on ebay - function keys seem small too, but at least the spacebar should ****ing as it is old design. When I meet Bill Gates I will tell him everything I think about it - I could live with Windows crashes but sticky spacebar is too much

Sorry it isn't PS2 keyboard I have to use, you're right, any other "standard" USB keyboard works OK.
