      Been done once (£60+3 points) and had a few notices of intended prosecution that they haven't followed up.

      Anyone ever use that loophole (closed now) where you sent it back but didn't sign it and they couldn't do you for it?

        No, but I've used another loophole, and I've got a good one for parking fines too!
        The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

        But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

              No it's all my own work. For parking fines, you cannot be prosecuted if you broke down.

                  It's one of the 'valid reasons' they have to let you off on. They require proof of breakdown, but then the AA/RAC will provide a nice letter if needed. Should you be unfortunate enough to return to a broken down car and need to call them out.
