That's offensive not defensive. The number of accidents you slow coaches (and truckers) cause because people with somewhere to get in a hurry have to make risky overtaking manouvers.

It's safest to keep up with the flow of traffic. Going slower should be the offence, not faster.

If no-one overtook it would be safe. WE should all go at the speed of the slowest......

Fifth time 31/30 Fined £420 + 3 points because I challenged it in Court.

Technically it is an offence. Especially if in wet at night. And it you are rude to the babylon.....

I know some constabularies operate a zero tolerance policy towards speeding, but I don't know of any cases where they have prosecuted for it. I suppose they could bolster a case if there were mitigating circumstances though, i.e. as you say.
