    Gas and electricity

My annual bill is around £2000 for gas and electric (Scottish Power).

Is this a lot? I must admin I do like to do my bit for Global Warming and leave everything on where possible.

Yes, it's a fortune! I'd suggest maybe leaving the west wing of DP towers at an ambient 22 degrees, that might save you something.

About the same as mine. My wife is at home most of the time with our young kids ... so she uses them as an excuse to have the heating on most of the day.

Just got a letter from EON who have put my prices up even though oil is now sub-$60! Conniving thieves.

Living room alone has 500W in lighting (halogens). 250W in the kitchen. 200W in the dining room.

Central heating is on all day every day.

Have 4 servers running 24/7 in the office.

Big LCD TV in living room, bedrooms.

Underfloor tile heating. Heated towell radiators.

            The list goes on.

Street lights dim when I get home.

My bill from Eon for gas and electricity was 66 quid for the previous quarter for my 4 Bed detached.

Wasn't it a bit boring sitting in a big, dark and cold house every evening?

                    Insulation? do you have any?

I think we're on about £1400 - and that's with the wife running the fire in the morning and evening. Central heating on about 21 when we're at home and 17 when we're asleep.

Switched to click 5 energy in August - which BG raised quietly raised the price of in September! - and still paying off the debt to the previous supplier.
