It'd be fun to know which agency you were through, and was it their 'recommended accountant' and 'recommended management company'?
Seen this happen to a few bods over the years. So much so, your story makes me also ask: are you sure your taxes were actually passed on to the tax authorities in Switzerland?Comment

Maybe you should have tried here: http://www.freelancermap.ch“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

NOTE: now resolved amicably.
Overseas guides will be updated
background:
- Been exchanging emails with the editor and they have advised was a delay on Capital Tax Consultings part.
- Turned out the conflict of interest was a confusion- I googled Capital consulting when initial email metioned and the top link was http://www.capitalconsulting.com/ a overseas recruitment specialist. Actually its the shortened name of Capital TAX consulting who are an independent adviser. Talk about coincidences
- The editors stance was that I should have waited,my reply was a 24 or 48 hour update was fine but an email sent oct 31st and still not replied to 5th November is awful, my further email on the 5th again not replied to 24hrs later and as far as I could tell was being ignored. Advised imo they need to review processes & SLA's, a simple email to update would have been standard process in most companies as not saying anything leaves other party in the dark. Could have at least asked me why I thought conflict of interest and why i had said capital consulting were a overseas recruiter!!
End result: Better guides for everyone to use and capital TAX consulting know what they are doing (their website is very good I have to say as I've quoted a part on the 'warning' thread), just didnt say on the guides.
