That's a tough one, there are lots of technically brilliant guitarists who have no soul e.g. Satriani, Vai et al

Indeed - Satriani does have his moments of soul though, although few and far between. Add Paul Gilbert to that list as well.

Nuno Bettencourt is another - "Midnight Express" is an amazing track.
