If you happen to get a contract in or around Nottingham, there's a Travelodge 2 miles outside the city at £29/night with free parking. Having stayed there for 3 months, I can say that it's probably about the worst Travelodge in the country, but Travelodge it is.Originally posted by 2uk View PostTravelodge is about 50 these days , and they are always almost full .. I am at a 55 room plus 5 for parking ....
That said , I don't think there is anything better out thereComment

There's no limit. Whatever the hotel costs, you charge to the co. It really depends on your rate and comfort requirements. Personally I do not do slums at any price.Originally posted by expat View PostThe point might be the HMRC limit for expenses....Comment

I have to confess to being in a Travelodge right now...got it booked 3 nights/week from now until Jan at (mostly) £19/night with a few nights at £29 where I didn't get booked in time.
Premier Inn are better standard but much more expensive.Comment

It makes me itch all over just reading this thread - yuk!How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Was the 'hotelier' a portly Russian chap with a 70s porno style moustache and a squirrel stuck to his arm?Originally posted by 2uk View PostYesterday while I was enjoying myself in my value but very disgusting 25 gbp hotel room ... ( Indian entrepreneur converted his house into a hotel and kept sub-sub-sub-prime standard to provide accommodation to miserable people ) ... my attention was grabbed by the tremble of the roach sitting on my bed and sniffing around obviously after my mcdonalds burger.. After unsuccessful attempt to kill the bugger I moved to travelodge....
No more 25 rooms for me , nor anything that has not got recent standard...Comment

I'm in an Etap right now, at 41 EUR a night. Paying your own expenses does focus the mind on the costs/benefits.Originally posted by Wilmslow View PostEtap are fine enough at £32 per night......Comment
