Jordan has no skill or talent but has created a market for this service.
You don't need an agent to sell your car, so why do you need one to sell your house? The only added service of an agent is advertising in their shop. I'm sure many shops could advertise property at a fraction of the price.
Totally without a useful function, yet able to manipulate people's perceptions into believing they are of importance/necessity.
You have to take your hat off to anyone who has the cheek to make money in that way.
Estate agents are in the private sector and thus are no burden on the taxpayer, they contribute absolutely Billions to Gordon's tax coffers by their efforts, in income tax, VAT and indirectly in stamp duty. Without their efforts, Gordon would have been in deep doo-doo long before now. No doubt, he is certainly missing the housing market contibution right now.

Am I right in saying Dodgy used to be an estate agent?
..after he stopped selling double glazing door to door?
Seriously, the thing that annoys me about Estate agents is, in most cases, their lack of ability to sell. There are not many industries where the needs of the customer are ignored so badly. Walk into an estate agent, they should be ascertaining your needs and then selling you a house, 9/10 times that will not happenThe court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

But he did buy me a good lunch so not all bad......Comment

The services of any agent could be learned in a couple of hours, which is why so many dodgy thickos work as agents.

I think my agent must be one of those, they 'tax' my rate but I can never track them down.Originally posted by Spacecadet View Posteven a Secret Agent?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment
