    shares eh?

I lost more money during the journey into work today than I'll earn this month.

Nah, a bridge off the M4 would be a better bet. The PM and convoy are on their way back from Swindon....

What makes you think that anyone would accept a cheque with all these banks going bust?

Anyway, by the end of next week you'll be able to buy the whole lot for about 5 gold pieces.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

I see Lakshmi Mittal has lost 21.4 Billion on paper recently. At least that might help to put the mockers on QPR's ambitions.

People must be buying en masse - bargains to be had eh?
yes. very droll. we all know that when markets fall the panic sellers get going. Until they are ll flushed out it will continue to drop.

They're not necessarily panic sellers. I saw a list of UK companies that the Icelandics are invested in and it is quite extraordinary and big percentages. These businessmen are now being forced to sell due to circumstances at home, just to liquidate assets to pay debts. Such companies include Woolworths and Debenhams, House of Fraser, Hamleys and of course West Ham FC.
