You could be right for all I know CL. But if you make statements, how about some evidence? even anecdotal.
It is the usual 1984 "four legs good" stufff we hear continually, "outsourcing is good, immigration is good, outsourcing is good..."
Repeat this crap often enough and everyons starts to believe it.

Outsourcing
Well outsourcing creates more competivie companies, that much is true.
The problem is that teh more competitve company does not really benefit the country in general or I cant see how it does.
Labour is taxed at source so government loses direct taxation revenue
Investment in skills is lost
Unemployment increases
The only people it really does benefit are the companies, and the benefits dont go to the workers, they go to the owners and shareholders.
Companies do invest in the "other things". They invest in more offshore plants and more outsourcing initiatives. And maybe a new Lambo for the MD(Which is not made here anyway)
The country loses the skills, the people lose the work, the country loses the tax revenue
Can soemone please explain to me how this could possibly be of benefit to a country? There are no evil thoughts except one: the refusal to thinkComment

There's nothing wrong with Out Sourcing the good people with the correct skills and customer facing skills will still have jobs, out sourcing your work around the world won't change that.
The people who will have problems are those who sit in dark rooms bashing out code all day never talking to an end-user.
Think of these like factory workers in a woolen mill the day before the industrial revolution brought in machinery. The out sourcing companies are just the latest Industrial Revolution - progress!Comment

The only customer facing jobs left will involve saying things like "you are nicked son", "I am going to have to replace your entire drain system" and "would you like fries with that?" and there are simply not enough of those to go round.Originally posted by boredsenselessThere's nothing wrong with Out Sourcing the good people with the correct skills and customer facing skills will still have jobs, out sourcing your work around the world won't change that.
