              Reckon erosion of income is our biggest worry at this point in time?

                    It is not, the reason being that we are in a recession and consumer spending has fallen over a cliff. Inflation will fall pretty rapidly over the next few months as people lose their jobs. For instance, I paid 105.9p per litre of unleaded last week, down from approx 120p a month or so back.
