      If you were stoozing Hbos credit cards, saved in one of their accounts... and they went bust. Who would owe who?
      The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

      But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

        I read somewhere that any debt you had with an institution would be subtracted from any savings you had when you claimed compensation. I'll try and find a link tomorrow.

          Well DaveB ltd's money is all with Cater Allen, which is owned by Santander, who seem to be one of the more stable institutions atm. 2nd biggest retail bank in europe they just bought up the high street and savings operations of Bradford and Bingley.
