            Well - I don't think anyone other than us plays it so I guess that makes us world champions

              The Scots play a version called Shinty, essentially the same game.

              But yes, the Irish are world champions in the same way the US used to be World Baseball Champions untill other countries started playing it and beat them on a regular basis
