Taking a couple of months off

Always p*sses me off when you have a break and agents seem to think you should be in work 52 weeks of the year.
I dont always want to work 52 weeks of the year thanks, thats why I left permiedom.
Taking a break does sometimes make it hard to get that next contract especially when the market is tight. You sometimes have to go in at a low rate to get the agents interested again.I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!Comment

Relax and enjoy the contractor lifestyle.
I am on my 4th month off (voluntarily, to spend more time with family and young kids), best thing I have done in the 8 yrs of contracting. Feel totally refreshed and ready to kick some as# ...Comment

So why doesn't the missus want you around the house? And why is she on holiday on her own?
2+2 = 4 mate. She's having an affair....my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...

All you do is start your time off just after the start of the month, and finish it just before the end of the following month.
Then there's no gap on your CV.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

Ive just taken this summer off and I must say what an excellent time Ive had.
As somebody once said -
'How many summers do you have left ?'
That said I have a couple of interviews lined up next week - and would you Adam and Eve it , actually looking forward to returning to a bit of button-pushing, altough no doubt by December I shall be weary of the drudgery of it all.
PS Bob - you didnt perchance work in computering near Wimbledon back in the mid-80s ?Comment
