I twisted my ankle running on grass and the last time I went running with anyone it was so boring that I nearly wept. -
Get some proper running shoes. If you use road running shoes and you run on grass and mud then you are very likely to fall over.Originally posted by Bob Dalek View PostI twisted my ankle running on grass
You must know some really boring people. Everyone I know runs with someone else so they have an excuse to go to the pub afterwards.Originally posted by Bob Dalek View Postand the last time I went running with anyone it was so boring that I nearly wept."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

Running seems an unnecessary part of the "going to the pub" process.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostGet some proper running shoes. If you use road running shoes and you run on grass and mud then you are very likely to fall over.

It could be true, I've been running on and off for about 14 years, currently run between 55km and 60km a week 10k in 40mins. If I ask anyone my age they recon 25-26, but Im 32 pushing on 33
. Saying that lots of running can give you facial jowls, I can see it my cheeks a bit these days.

The gym's much better, still boring but my joints won't be as buggered in later life.
I always run off-road due to foot problems causing me to have an op 20 years ago. I am very lucky to have woods which are Crown Estate property within 100 yards, which of course also has positive effects on my house value.
NB: It is well worth investing in the best running shoes you can afford.Comment
