It's next week according to my calendar.
On the mainland it's Whit Monday.

It was Harold Wilson wot scrapped Whitsuntide in favour of Spring Bank Holiday.

My father was secretly delighted as he could add "Heathen" to the list of adjectives he had for Wilson.

Just had a heavy downpour. At least it gets on with the job here, as opposed to drizzling for days on end, UK style.

Spent most of yesterday watering the very scorched lawns and flowerbeds.

                Skool clearly in view.

Wednesday. (Apparently, though it feels like Tuesday).

I seem to remember a fair few who alleged that they'd be in to do some work in preparation for resit week.

In practice, I think I've seen one in 5 years.
I managed to get through Uni without a re-sit. I don't think I would have got through if I had.
