Beautiful in Notts - I may go out this afternoon to enjoy the sun.

A client had an outage. Sys-admin for that area was on holiday. So I asks someone to phone him up and get root access.

This fsckwit sys-admin then proceeded to waste the time of three staff until I got one of the girls to sweet talk the root password out of him.

      Fixed it 5 minutes later.

5 minute job cost 1.5 man days.

But they won't fire him, civil savant you see.

Still a lovely day in Notts.

I might take the afternoon off...

Nah, Rain Man could do useful stuff, this guy is a complete waste of oxygen. It's got to the stage that if there's an outage the first question is as you'd expect "Is the sys-admin here?", but not for the reason they'd like to ask him to fix it, but because he's probably the cause...

Anyway, the weather is truly lovely. Shorts and T-shirt jersey for the first time on my cycle commute this year. All the long sleeves and tights were in the washer last night, probably out on the line now, and will be packed away this evening until it gets colder again in Autumn.

There was a thunderstorm this morning. There was one particular very long roll of thunder.

Now the sun is shining and the air smells wonderfully fresh.

I shall wait for it to dry a little more then go for a cycle ride on this lovely Bank Holiday.

Just chased some kids out of my woods pulling up the protected flowers.

The local druggies use it, so there're needles laying about.

                  Sunny

                  Blue sky

sea looking quite flat and calm

                  no clouds

not much wind but a bit brisk

another nice day here in sunny South Devon

Think I'll "work from home" again!

The long term weather forecast is for it to get colder and colder and you'll be lucky to see double digit temperatures over the weekend. Also be prepared for icy winds and rain, if you're lucky.
