London is gloriously sunny today, but chilly round the willy and the pavements are slippery because of the frozen snow.
The aliens have snaffled some more coal from somewhere and the steam engine is working again. What with the collapsing economy, and human transport paralysed, if they wanted to take over the country now is the time to do it.Comment

London has clouded over. It's probably all that steam. I wonder if we'll get another dump of snow today? The lightweight permies will be off like a bullet.
One of them left at 11:30 am yesterday because she said her 20 minute walk home would take half an hour if she left it to the end of the working day. And she was serious.
