In the last few days have noticed a sudden upsurge in positive "boom" stories. What a load of bollux - nothing's changed except for a small fall in oil prices. Not enough to change anything.

It's tough for us Contractors mind.

The cost of being rich is growing at nearly half the pace it was eight months ago in a sign that the ultra-wealthy are backing away from splashing out on big-ticket purchases as the credit crisis bites.
The biggest fallers in the Stonehage Affluent Luxury Living Index (Salli) included an Aston Martin DBS, down 14.9pc to a wallet-friendly £160,000.
The mega-wealthy have been hit by price rises in other areas, with the cost of wines, works of art and country sports all continuing to rise.
A case of Lafite Rothschild vintage wine rose 45pc to £13,415, while the price of two days' grouse shooting was up 23.1pc to £4,500.
The media never cover the plight of us super-rich do they?
