Cheers for the sensible replies. Cheers for the sarcastic comments.

Top Golf is a bit of fun, but I don't think I'd ever have the time to devote 3 hours to a round.

Playing off a good handicap then?

Revealing. So in summary you have no sporting capability at all or any clue about golf and are scared that your missus will shack up with the postman if you spend sunday with your 'mates'.

I have no time for golf or golfers. Sorry if my post was ambiguous on this point.

It's probably a good idea to get some coaching first too. Group lessons etc can be quite cheap, local golf club pro for a quick course of lessons, about 50 quid is a good ides.

Custom fitted clubs are also a good idea. Again local club pro should be able to fit you for right sizes, esp grip size, shaft length/flex, swing weight, lie angle.

I am a semi pro golfer.

Dress and have clubs like a pro... play like an amateur.

Good enough to beat dodgy agent though.
