Where's the Chablis Grand Cru option? Or Sancerre? Or Poilly-Fuissé? Or "I drink Thunderbird with Andyw"?

For the decent stuff I pay a certain amount per month to a wine merchant who also manages cellarage then I call down a few cases every few months. I'ts amazing how quickly you can build up a reserve of decent bottles. I get all my plonk from the supermarkets when they have offers on or from cross channel runs.

It's all personal taste and how I'm feeling but for whites I like White Rhone especially anything that has Marsanne grape. Sauvignon for cheap stuff. Personally Chardonnay I can live without but that's not saying you can't get decent bottles. I also like a good Alsace wine if it's accompanied with the right food. The only Italian white I'd touch is Falanghina. For reds you can't go wrong with a decent claret but Cote de Rhone offers better value, especially Crozes Hermitage. Personal regional favourites are Bandol from Provence and Givry from Burgundy but you get bad bottles just like everything else. For sparkling stuff vintage Pol Roger please.

As you can tell, I'm not a New World wine fan but that's pure ignorance on my part and not prejudice.

Do yourself a favour. Go to Waitrose, and buy a bottle of Inycon Sicilian red (cab sav), take home and drink. Post here telling me I rock.

Barolo is definately my new honey, thanks to Waitrose Special Cellar - I think it was the 2000 which was absolutely out of this world!!! (Although I've had a few 2003's lately too - they're nice enough.)
The 2000 - ah man, seriously....you know when you have really special chocolate and you only actually need a couple of bits to satisfy you instead of a whole box? Well it was like that.
Me and my lad stuggled to sup the bottle, and we can really drink! It was just absolutely gorgeous.
SA, which Barolo did you try? Was the 2000 ready to drink? Quite young for a Barolo ...

I can't remember the year to be honest -I just have a feeling it was 2000.

I do remember it saying on the back that it could mature for another decade, but you couldn't tell by drinking it.

Like I say, i was in Waitrose Cellar section...I'm fairly certain it was 2000. It wa all black - black bottle and black label.

              Ahhh, just heaven!!!

Tesco's have just delivered me loads of cheap crap for this weekend...I feel disgusted at myself

And we're serving Gallo at the wedding

Where's the "I don't drink that filthy devils brew" option?

http://www.inycon-wine.com/ don't appear to show cab sav on their site - are you sure?

Found a picture to prove it's existence here:

Think it may be exclusive to Waitrose so they don't advertise it on their mass market site maybe.
