    I think it's important that you set your feelings to one side and treat the matter in a purely businesslike manner. Determine what your best course of action is and stick to it. If it so happens that it makes things easier for her than you feel she deserves, ignore that fact.

    In my experience, trying to make things harder for her will probably result in making things harder for you, too. No point cutting off your nose to spite your face.
