North/South

so many things in life oppose each other, for every yen there must be a yang
Southern moon light brings forth visions
moss covered trees, mist on the river
sultry heat as steam rises to make
women glow and men swelter
red sun rises and orange blaze
white flowers take on a hue
of pastels delighting the eyes
Northern moonrise crystal clear and clean
cutting off breath as one sucks in
ice cold winds rushing down canyon streets
women bundled in furs no muffs wore here
of days long past, just frozen fingers
seeking warmth under the arm pits of companions
sweet afternoon casting long shadows
midday warmth ever desire and lust
neither Northern nor Southern darkness
seeking passions of night or purity of dawn
never knowing all souls must have it's shadows
to balance out times personifications
