He is, you're just not listening. I'll spell it out for you in blunt, plain English.Originally posted by firehawk View Postwell no you're NOT being helpful to me.
If you have applied for 300 jobs and got nothing, then either your rate is too high or your CV is crap. It's as simple as that.
Get your CV reviewed by a pro (your current agent perhaps) and double check what the market rate is for your particular .NET skills (hint, it's more than likely to be lower than you're currently getting due to the aforementioned credit crunch).Comment

Typical septic attitude. No wonder he hasn't got a job."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

EU + CH cannot restrict their recruitment to their own country. If you have an EU or CH passport, you just apply for the role. If you speak English, then there are many jobs in the multinationals.Originally posted by firehawk View Post...
even europe is fine, would be a nice experience I think but not sure they would hire anyone from outside their own country
Chances are your CV needs rework.
...EDIT->oh I see, he's american. That's trickier then. There is a possibility though that the market in the US really is dead?
otoh, with his attitude, I can't see him getting a job in Europe. Can't make the cultural adjustment, you see.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

Boy... 300 jobs and no interview, not surprised with an attitude like that. Chill out a little, listen to what the advice these people are giving you on this Forum, probably a damn site more experienced than you or I put together. Re-evaluate your CV, contact the agencies and ask why you were not suitable etc and learn from what they say.you lot seriously have attitude problems. fair enough.... don't blame anyone else when your life goes tits up.

Be positive, something will turn up and as a .NET developer myself I know there are quite a few roles out thereComment
