Lucy, if you had a pethedine injection and not the tablets then drinking alchohol is a bad idea. It can make the side effects of the pethedine, including muscle spasm and tremors, much worse.

I won't. Had the meds at 7am or so, and valium is how they detox the junkies.

Yep, it will. Will help you relax and smooth out the comedown from the Pethedin.

Again though, Alchohol and Valium dont mix well. If it was me I'd lay off the booze for the next couple of days until you feel like you are back to normal.

On top of that, smoking can increase the rate at which Valium is eliminated from the body and reduce it's effectiveness so lay off the ciggies as well if you can.

I don't normally drink or smoke for that matter, I was just in a lot of pain and know when I come off pethidine I'm yuk.
