I know a place - quite central - with a riverside roof terrace plus pool and table football downstairs, also with a barbecue. Fits the bill. Except it's called Doggets.

II used to work right across the bridge from Doggets - been there many times. But I wouldn't recommend it for a summer bash - it's nto that great a venue ...

As long as it's not a Witherspoons/All Bar One/O'Neals/Walkabout/Slug and Lettice etc. I may even Cam in.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

From reading the other thread, will that be for a pot noodle and a wink?

Hmm... I think you're right - it's a great pub from an 'activities' POV, but a bit bland. Let's try to go for something with a bit more character. Not keen on chain pubs myself.

Some 'character' suggestions (some mentioned before but better pics/info):

                    Bell and Crown
                    Dove
                    Anchor
                    Bull's Head

Also (NF) these pubs have proper ale.
