It does the job for me, I'm happy with it.

To top the thing up you create a "my3" web account and top it up via a debit/credit card.

If your allowance runs dry the modem will allow you to open the my3 site so you can credit your account and start browsing again (I'm glad to see someone actually thought of that).

Same here, and the PAYG equivalent from Play would be ideal for the OP.
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

£39.99 for the dongle. Top ups are £10, £15, £25 and give you 1GB, 3GB and 7GB respectively.

Perfect for general surfin, CUK, MSN and email/webmail.

Top ups last for 30 days or until you use up the quota (whichever comes first).
I've got one, and it's great. And with the PAYG one, you only pay when you want to use it.

                  WHS.

Didn't want the fart little USB Dongle so got the adapter that you velcro to the laptop.

Very sexy looking with its Black and Green markings.

I use my Nokia N73 (also on 3) - I pay 15 quid a month for 3 Gig limit. I use bluetooth to connect it to my lappy - I am using it to type this - Ubuntu Linux/Firefox.

I also use it in the office at ClientCo so as not to breach their surfing policies

I was going to suggest using your mobile as well, if you have or can get an appropriate package.

However can't you charge the £7 as a business expense?
