The Apprentice is all in the editing. Lee came across as a total cretin whenever he spoke in the earlier episodes. I think the spelling mistakes and blatant lie (hardly creative spin) on his CV about his time at Uni are pretty inexcusable though, so I think he was pretty lucky considering the other finalists.

I think Alex would have made a good apprentice when the show was over and the dust settled, he certainly wanted it enough. The backstabbing malarkey in the boardroom was never going to help his cause though. And he was only 24 in case anyone missed it.

Helene was just a grumpy moo and Claire, although no doubt very capable, was just too gobby and her sing-song voice drove me round the bend. She was a right smarmy trout in the "You're Hired" show afterwards too.

I think Alan Sugar was right - who cares that he lied on his CV about a fecking catering course 10 years ago.

No one here would dream of embellishing their CV (or leaving stuff out) would they?

      Bunch of tossing hypocrites...

      Older and ...well, just older!!

        I wouldn't. It's unneccessary.

I know it says MSc on my CV, but it was just a typo, it should say CSE.

Yeah, wait for the next can I blag it thread!
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Easy. That's not what I, or Sirallan, said.

Plenty of people might spin or exaggerate aspects on their CV to get a job / gig if they thought that once they had their foot in the door they would be able to deliver, myself included.

Not taking the time to proof read (or ask someone else to) or spell check a CV before you go for a job (let alone a bloody TV program!!) is ridiculous. So is lying about the duration you spent taking a course which can, and was, easily checked. If you're going to bulltulip at least cover your tracks!
