Your good health can be attributed to the ways things used to work. Every one your ancestors was fit enough to find a mate and reproduce. Most of your ancestors were probably too sick to do so, for which you can thank them.

The sick ones died. Sickness creates healthy people.

Not entirely "fair" though, is it?

          Yeah, I know, life isn't...

Yeah, not fair. My main thesis is that the better the health systems are, the more sick people that will be created by it. It's in the interests of a healthcare system to create sickness.

Sometimes sickness just creates sick people ... they're not inherently unhealthy or unworthy of reproduction, just unlucky to be in wrong place at wrong time ...

Honestly, I think you couldn't be any more wrong in your thesis.

BTW trust Churchill to stick his ugly avatar into what was looking like a nice black vs white, ice skater vs snowboarder, girl (I dunno what you are btw) vs boy screen.

Had a certain kind of aesthetic to it.

We could let the sick die off. The NHS wouldn't need so many staff which in turn wouldn't cost so much...

                    Result.

                    Churchill for Prime Minister!!!

The healthcare system would be killing itself if we were all healthy or dead. Big health care systems require a large pool of sick people to survive, and they do always get bigger...The successful parasite does not kill the host it feeds off.
