        Is it SFW?

              I liked Lucinda.

She was the only candidate who was not afraid to speak her mind, and I liked her off-the-wall thinking. She didn't follow the herd and she struck me as a real personality, as opposed to "another faceless business droid".

I think the reason she received a lot of negativity from the other candidates was because, deep down, they secretly wished they could possess the same individualism and dynanism that Lucinda effortlessly expressed.

Lucinda was different from the rest of the herd, and this unsettled them, because people fear something different, particularly when that something reminds them of their own lack of individuality.

We need more Lucinda's in this world, not less.

More people that dare to be different.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I haven't seen the programme, having better things to do with my time, but I'd just like to say that in my not-so-humble opinion anybody who chooses to go on a gameshow like this has already proved themselves to be a person of such herd-like mentality, and so bereft of initiative or true self-worth, that I wouldn't regard them as worthy of cleaning a public lavatory in Soho on a Saturday night.

At least the contestants on Countdown or Who Wants to be a Millionaire, whether desirous of a complete set of the OED or of a million quid, are still allowed to retain their dignity, if they so choose. The Apprentice contestants choose to place themselves in a situation where, right from the start, they will be made to look like the freaks and greed-obsessed narcissists that they in fact are.

Anybody who regards them as fit for anything other than the slaughter clearly doesn't know how much skin and bone is worth on the open market, once it's stopped twitching. They should all get the prize of forming the very first batch of Soylent Green, merely for having the presumption to place themselves in this arena.

When the time comes that air is only supplied once one can prove oneself worthy of it, they'll be the first outside the oxygen tent.

                YMMV

'I haven't seen the programme....'. Doesn't really help to validate all your bluster.
